South Coast Beaches in Cornwall

Seaton: Large dog friendly sand and shingle beach to the east of Looe. Parking behind beach. All facilities.
Whitsand Bay & Tregantle, These are both slightly further along the coast is Whitsand bay – this is blessed with an wonderful stretch of sandy beaches – there is a steep walk down though good for surfing and sunbathing, swimming only recommended when lifeguards are on duty.
Talland Bay: Between Looe and Polperro, mix of rock pools and sand, cafes and parking.
Polperro: Smaller Sandy beach below harbour wall when the tide is out. Willy Willcox’s cave for the intrepid explorer.
Lansallos: Secluded cove at the end of smugglers path situated between Polruan and Polperro.
East Looe and Hannafore Beach, easily accessible, – even have a beach wheelchair for disabled visitors, with rock pools, safe swimming for exploring or snorkeling. www.looeguide.co.uk

Newquay alone has eleven beaches – Fistral being the most famous for surfing, partying and a popular music festival on the beach. Other popular beaches include Watergate bay, Bude, Crantock, Polzeath, Rock and Constantine to name a few, each have their own merits.
